This is a big "unfortunate". I still can't even get access to it on my home machine (Vista) and I have used the HTML version on XP machine at work. But it is cumbersome to use. Like Karl I like to highlight area and make notes on pages in the older PDF version of the documentation so I can find things easier the next I need to look up topics. Usually there are two options offered and I can't understand why there is only one option. I say to Adobe "Give us a PDF version".

Karl Heinz Kremer,

I hear you! I just wish others would chime-in so that I could prove there's a real need/desire for a PDF version out there...

I've said it before, and I will say it again (and again and again...): The move from PDF to HTML is a huge step backwards. My copies of the SDK documentation are heavily annotated. What I've done in the past in terms of annotations and custom bookmarks is just not possible with the HTML version of the documentation. Chances are that I will continue to use the (now) old documents, and will only resort to the new LiveDocs version when I need to either look up new features.

I just don't get how Adobe - as the creator of the PDF format - can abandon that format for it's own documentation. What message does that send?
